The internet is a fabulous tool, however, before buying a Black Russian Terrier puppy sight unseen - get to know this breed ďhands-onĒ. You will need to meet a BRT to see if it is right for you. Talk to breeders and owners and meet as many Black Russians as you can. The cute, black ball of fur at 10 weeks will be well over 100 lbs when full grown. This is a 10-12 year commitment. The BRT is a wonderful breed but not suited for everyone. Selective breeding, proper training and adequate socialization make for a well-balanced temperament.
